訪雅典娜(Athena)女神加桂冠於拜倫頭上之石像於雅典 亦現英武亦溫文，倜儻風華自不羣；解事女神雅典娜，桂冠親奉俊詩人。 拜倫以英國貴族，仗劍從軍，爲希臘獨立自由而戰；不幸軍中染疾，賷志以終，此世人所共知而深悼者。惟拜倫懷慨赴 難之動機，非爲解脫其個人情場煩惱，亦非爲近代之希臘人，乃爲彼所醉心而深受其薰陶之古代希臘文化理想。爰發斯 義，成此短章。 撇開風月繁華夢，願爲文化理想戰；死爲他邦爭自由，遺詩天下合傳遍。
