作一長電覆雪艇，詳細分析印度對我國態度之主要原因，電約一千餘字，下午發出，並請其轉呈介公。上午十時半訪美大使 Henderson 談甚暢。我吿彼三點：㈠中國不反對印度請求美援，但希望印得之美援不致妨害美國將來可能予中國之援助。彼答決不會，而且美所擬與印援助爲數有限；㈡請彼便吿美政府，關於中、菲所倡反共聯盟，予以同情，因此同盟中有中、菲在內，決不至於騎墻。彼甚
贊成，並明說「印度態度，就是騎墻。」㈢請彼便時勸印度政府要人，凡關遠東各國之合作，可以增進防共力量者，須顧大局，不必太懷妒意。彼允設法勸導。
