早報載董顯光否認蔣先生辭職說。又美代理國務卿 Robert Lovett 宣稱 the U. S. A. was doing the utmost with Congress approval to aid Chinese gov't，美不變現在政策，蔣先生領導 之中央，爲美國政府承認之交涉對象云云。旋接外交部電，否認蔣先生辭職說，及聯合政府說，謂係 純粹謠言。平津將有大戰，徐蚌間軍事較前爲穩。
