上午淸理積案，批閱甚多，樂武官偕其夫人來，在此吃中飯。擬一電致國防部侯騰廳長，主張將其任期延長一年。電外交部報吿到新德里及與 Hajagopalachari （將來總督）談話情形。晚八時二十分赴總督蒙巴頓宴，見到尼赫魯、梅農夫婦及外交團各人，今天是英王生日，又爲英王及后銀婚，故有此宴會，飯後無演說，旋看印度舞，女舞家 Adi Tala 所跳，彼今日方由南部 Madras 飛來。
