上午赴 Lloyds 銀行爲取款事。旋赴 Oxford 書店購書，其中有關甘地數種，乃爲張菊生購者。下午英國新派赴新疆駐廸化總領事G. Fox Holmes 與談甚久，彼曾在中國七、八年，在新疆做傳敎士亦四、五年，能操國語、維語及哈薩克語。晚請客，到尼泊爾大使 Commanding Yen, Shingha 夫婦及女，緬甸大使U. Win 及夫人，暹羅代辦 Khoman 及樂武官夫婦，並有印度女國會議員 Begum Rasul。
