本日報載尼赫魯昨在國會中發表之外交演說及關於克什米爾問題之白皮書一部份(下午得全份) ，細心硏究，知其表面似強硬，內中尚留餘地，卽留在英國 Commonwealth 中與否之一問題，亦未 曾把大門關斷。報紙標題，常斷章取義，不甚確切，惟不退兵與維持 Sheik Abdullah政權二點態度 堅決。 下午四時開讀書會，由糜文開、樂遙翔、吳俊才、薛鎦生等分別報告克什米爾問題。 電雪艇賀其生日。 晚宴尼泊爾大使 Rana 夫婦、女 Bhuban、緬甸大使U. Win夫婦、暹羅代表 T.Khoman 夫 婦。
