八月六日　 星期三 　 熱，不雨。處理館務，例行公文甚多。 　 下午樂遙翔請吃飯，因彼新生一男孩，滿月也。 　 十一時囘館，忽有感觸，做了一首英文詩，名“ Chant for Indian Freedom ”至二時寫完，自己 頗覺得意。 　 下午五時館中開讀書會，海維諒報告 Dutt： India Today 一書，謂其內容是左傾，系統亦差。
