七月二十四日　 星期四 　 上午處理公文甚多，因國內有郵包到，修改演講稿。 　 尼泊爾總領事 Rana 來見，彼婉辭謝絶交換使節事，謂俟將來此國閉塞專制多疑。好得我當時說 是我的意思，不然讓國家碰此釘子，殊不合算也。 　 下午七時赴 International League of India 之盛大招待會，爲我而設者，講題爲 Freedom in Fear ，項莊舞劍，旨在對蘇，聽衆反應甚好，歸時全身如雨，今晚特別熱，全天風沙暴。
