六月十二日 星期四 晴，熱。處理館務，準備明日赴 Simla，一因避熱，二因印督及若干要人前往該處，欲多得接 觸。 晚薛壽衡、樂遙翔來談，分別囑咐各事，得 Thomes Cook 囘音，謂在 Simla 之 Hotel Cocil 定 得一房間，殊非易事。 致函 Sir Terence Shone 辭謝其十八日之晚宴，並贈其夫人一檀香木製之中國扇子。
