六月六日 星期五 上午出外購物，先至舊德里購表，備作稚柳、君璧之畫酬，旋購黃皮鞋一雙，購鞋爲極麻煩事。
下午處理文件。 下午六時 Bikaner 土邦總理 K. M. Panikkar 來吃茶，暢談印度情形，彼係極有才之人，能詩 能文，爲 K. P. S. Menon 之親家，國大黨人，與乃都夫人及甘地均要好，彼熟悉各土邦要人，將來 可藉彼接通土邦路線，公超盛稱此人。 七時半赴 Galfin (BOAC 代表) 鷄尾酒會，遇蒙巴頓夫婦及 Lord Knolyss (BOAC 主持人)。
