一月三十日　 星期四 　 晴，未出。接蔣主席通知，約明日中午在官邸吃飯，或係爲新疆問題。 　 下午曾赴中、英文化協會開理事會，雪艇未到，立武託由英大使史蒂文生透露雪艇不到意，爲不 滿英內閣對於 Lord Lindsay 上院誣衊中國演說，未予駁斥及明白表示態度事，會後卽與言之，並告 以中國之不良反響，不限於政府方面。彼表示尙好，想必有電報告其本國政府。晚許質卿来訪。
