八月六日 星期五 晨七時由安西起程赴猩猩峽，路極難行，尤以將到該地前十五公里爲甚，汽車不毀幸矣！ 途經馬蓮井，見新疆購來之馬匹。 下午四時抵猩猩峽，盛督辦派馬隊在邊界迎候，凡十二組，名曰儀仗隊，甚隆重。 該處甚小，房屋不到十所，機關却有十餘，寓招待所，水中有硝，易瀉，必加酸精。 電盛督辦致謝，晚草祭文。 甘肅第七區專員劉亦沛先生陪至猩猩峽。
